With the support of my family and friends, I chose to leave a successful career as a paralegal after 20 years to pursue my dream of being a photographer. Several factors attributed to me building up the courage to make this life change. My twins, Dylan and Stephanie, were in their senior year of high school and I couldn’t believe how quickly the time flew by!
Meanwhile, after years of infertility and uncertainty, my husband and I were blessed with the birth of our son, Knox. Seeing how fast the time went with my twins, I wanted to take this new opportunity I was given to document everything about this new chapter in our lives. So I began picking up my camera daily and, thankfully, my journey has led me here.

I have been in the business of photography since 2014, and have loved every minute. I also have a B.S. in Economics and an M.A. in Human Resource Management, and had a progressive career in the field of HR for over 12 years, alongside running a photography business. In addition to photographing people’s families, I am passionate about personal development and growth, both in myself and others.
I believe parenthood is the most life-changing adventure any person will ever experience. As a parent myself, I understand how fleeting time is. You want to remember every single detail, from fuzzy ears to tiny toes, to how perfectly your baby fit in your arms. My goal is not merely that of being your photographer, but to be your family’s visual storyteller, giving you a documented history for generations to come.

After navigating the Photography world on our own, we joined together to create Willow & Mohr Photography. With similar styles and philosophies to creating beautiful family photography, we are able to offer our clients a truly unique and luxurious experience. In August of 2020, we opened our gorgeous studio in Edwardsville, Illinois on Trace Parkway.
After partnering in February 2020, our excitement was very short lived. Unfortunately, only two months later we were living in uncertain times as everyone else in the United States. COVID was spreading rapidly and we were all living in a pandemic. Uncertain what the future held, we pushed on. Construction was already underway for our beautiful new studio and legalities for the partnership had all been handled. We stayed focused and pushed on. It wasn’t long after that a government shut-down was mandated. Now, we were really second guessing ourselves and what to do. Do we let go of our dream and vision? Accept our losses? Through much talk and uncertainty, we decided to push on and follow through.

These were very difficult times for everyone and was definitely not the ideal time to start a new business. Everything had already been put into motion and the thought of giving up what we had envisioned was devastating. We chose to keep our eye on the prize and believe we were on our destined path.
Thankfully, clients followed us and new ones gave us a chance. Despite the pandemic, we have had a very successful business, met amazing people, and wake up every day loving what we do.
